What are your file requirements/ artwork guidelines?
Color mode should be CMYK (Not RGB). Resolution should be set to a minimum of 240dpi (300dpi is preferred). This means that the art should be created in at least 240dpi and should never be interpolated from 72dpi.
The preferred methods of file creation are eps or tif files placed into QuarkXpress or Adobe InDesign. PDF files are also accepted but cannot be edited. Support programs include Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Files created in other programs will not be accepted.
Notes on QuarkXpress and Adobe InDesign files:
To avoid type shifting do not use auto leading. Always specify a number. IBM format fonts are not compatible with the Mac format and will, at best, cause your document to reflow. Do not stylize in the QuarkXPress menu bar. If a bold or italic font does not exist in the typeface you are using, it will not print correctly. Always send both the printer and screen fonts with your files. Include all linked and/or embedded graphics with your file.
Notes on Adobe Illustrator files:
All fonts must be converted to curves or outlines. If not, you must send both the printer and screen fonts with your files. Include all linked and/or embedded graphics with your file. All files should be saved as an eps.
Notes on Photoshop files:
(Save as either tif or eps files) All files should be saved as flattened eps or tif with no vector data included. All blacks should consist of no more undercolor than C=36, M=25, Y=25, K=100 or type may not appear legible and color will have to be corrected. An approval is required and an art fee will be charged.
This applies to all jobs:
You must leave a 1/8” bleed around the outside of the entire document. Make sure that there is no live copy and 1/8” in from the cut edge. This will avoid any possible cutting problems.
